| The Concert For Life returns to where it all started - Gurnee, IL - for its 10th annual performance on March 14, 2010. The CFL is a wonderful evening of song, emotions, fellowship and hope. Inspired by Kate Pedersen, a Warren High School student who was fighting cancer during the show's first two years (2001, 02), and fueled by the memory of Matt's father, Tom Wessel, the show has grown into a beautiful tradition that has helped raise close to $200,000 for the American Cancer Society since 2001. The event has inspired the hearts and minds of thousands. Matt will again be joined by his musicians, including Molly, Kelly, Beth, Amy, Emily, Mike, Chad, Chris and others. As always, the music will consist of a mixture of secular, liturgical and instrumental songs with messages of hope, love and inspiration. There will be raffles and silent auctions, as well as a 20-minute intermission with food and beverages. Area businesses will help the evening continue by donating portions of their Sunday sales to the ACS - so plan on going out to eat with your family afterwards! Representatives from the ACS will also be on hand.
