Attention fans of football and fans of fighting against cancer!

I'm going to host an NFL Survivor Pool again this year and thought we could make things more interesting by adding money to the mix. And in order to ease all of our consciences, I'm also going to make it a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society! Half of all of the proceeds will benefit the ACS through the Carry On Campaign. Here's the deal:

THE GAME:
Pick one team that you think will win their game for a given week. You can only pick a team once. Double elimination (see: buy-back rule). The player who lasts the longest is the winner. In the event of a tie after the regular season, playoffs will be used. Picks must be made by Thursday at noon. A league update (and reminder) e-mail will be sent every Tuesday morning. Simply respond to that e-mail with your pick for the week.

COST:
$10 to enter (one entry per person). 50% of all money will benefit the American Cancer Society by way of the Carry On Campaign.

BUY BACK:
Everyone has the opportunity to buy their way back into the pool after their 2nd incorrect pick. Buy-back cost = $10. Single elimination.

PAYOUT:
The winner will receive 40% of the combined fees. The runner-up will receive 10%, minus $10 to be paid to the 3rd place finisher.

PLEASE spread this around. The more people that enter, the more we raise for the ACS and the more $$ there is for people to win! It was a lot of fun last year and this year - especially with cancer research in mind - I'm hoping we can bring dozens of more people into the mix.
